TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Applicable for Members Registered Under GOEA Assurance Support Program)

Introduction

This document outlines the rules, responsibilities, terms, and conditions governing the ₹1,00,000 Accidental Death Benefit provided to registered members of the Government Outsource Employees Association (GOEA).
By completing membership, paying the applicable fee, and submitting nominee details, the member agrees to all terms described herein.


1. Eligibility Criteria

1.1 The applicant must be an outsourced/contractual employee working within Karnataka.
1.2 The applicant must complete the registration process with accurate personal details.
1.3 Membership fee of ₹499 must be paid successfully and acknowledged by GOEA.
1.4 The member must upload a clear photograph, valid ID proof (Aadhar), and nominee details.


2. Coverage Details

2.1 The benefit covers Accidental Death Only.
2.2 Natural death, suicide, health-related death, or death due to alcohol/drug misuse is NOT covered.
2.3 Maximum claim amount is ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh Only).
2.4 Coverage begins only after 7 days (cool-off period) from the date of successful registration.
2.5 This benefit is not an insurance company product; it is a support scheme initiated by GOEA using collected membership funds for the welfare of outsourced employees.


3. Nominee Details

3.1 The member must provide the nominee’s full name, relationship, mobile number, and Aadhar card.
3.2 Only one nominee is allowed per membership registration.
3.3 Any changes to nominee details must be updated via written request with supporting documents.
3.4 In case of disputes within the family, GOEA will release the amount only after receiving legal/official clarification.


4. Claim Process

4.1 The nominee or legal heir must report the accidental death to GOEA within 30 days from the date of the incident.
4.2 The following documents must be submitted for claim verification:

  • Death Certificate

  • FIR/Police Report

  • Post-Mortem Report (mandatory)

  • Aadhaar Card of deceased member

  • Aadhaar Card of nominee

  • Medical/hospital records (if applicable)

  • Membership ID Card

  • Accident proof (photos, videos, witness statements—if any)

4.3 All documents should be clear, legible, and original or notarized copies.
4.4 Claims reported after 30 days may be rejected.
4.5 GOEA reserves the right to request additional documents if needed.


5. Claim Settlement

5.1 After successful verification, the claim will be settled within 45 working days.
5.2 Payment will be transferred only to the registered nominee’s bank account.
5.3 GOEA’s decision regarding approval or rejection of the claim is final.


6. Exclusions

GOEA will NOT pay benefits under the following circumstances:

  • Natural death or illness-based death

  • Suicide or self-harm

  • War, riots, terrorism, civil unrest

  • Criminal activities by the member

  • Death under influence of drugs/alcohol

  • Death outside India

  • Fake documents, false claims, or fraud


7. Member Responsibilities

7.1 Members must provide truthful and updated information.
7.2 Any misinformation or fake documents will lead to cancellation of membership.
7.3 Membership fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
7.4 Member must ensure nominee details are correct and updated.


8. Validity

8.1 Membership is valid for 1 Year from the date of acceptance.
8.2 Renewal charges may apply each year to continue benefit eligibility.
8.3 Benefits lapse automatically if the membership is not renewed before expiry.


9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 GOEA is not responsible for delays caused by government authorities, police, or incomplete documents.
9.2 GOEA does not guarantee acceptance of claims if eligibility criteria are not met.
9.3 This is a welfare scheme, not a legal insurance company policy. The benefit depends on fund availability.


10. Legal Terms

10.1 All disputes are subject to Karnataka jurisdiction only.
10.2 GOEA reserves full rights to modify, update, or cancel the scheme without prior notice.
10.3 Member agrees to cooperate in verification processes.
